Deck the Dollz // Merry Christmas Eve

Merriest Christmas greetings to you all!

The reason I'm posting right now is that I have time {about an hour and twenty minutes of it} and I won't have time tomorrow to post my Christmas doll pictures.

If I get any doll clothes tomorrow or tonight I'll definitely try to take lovely photos and post them postehaste.

But I did take a quick inventory of my girlies a couple of days ago.

I have 19 AGs not counting D's dollz.

Goodness Grievous. I thought I had twelve.

In order:

Danielle (D's first)
Kirsten (D's second)
Marie-Grace (D's third)

And those are only the AGs. I was like, grief, I have quite a collection! And I still want Isabelle...

Anyway, I would also like to introduce you to my newest Fellowship member...

... Singing Bird Atonmy, fka Fidelia from Vision Forum.
She was 1/2 price and I'd been eying her for a Native American doll.
All of the 1/2 price stuff was too much for me to handle, so there went most of it on that.
 Right before Christmas. Brilliant me.

I'll post more photos maybe Thursday or late tomorrow.

Let us never forget why we celebrate Christmas in the first place - Christ's birth.

Have a Lovely Givethanksing

   What's Givethansking you may ask.

I would say, doi, it's Thanksgivings but kind of Pig Latin-a-fied. Yeah, I make up weird ways of saying words. Hey Jack, I got it from my Dad.

Cinaminamin {Cinnamon}. Christimist {Christmas}. Etc. Yeah, I'm weird. Deal with it :)

My Mom loves watching the Givethansking Day Parade. I don't really. I find it boring. I'd rather day-dream about the Desolation of Smaug the Stupendous. You know, going to see it. Sigh.

As D is dusting, I wonder if she is wishing to see another episode of Doctor Who. Yes, she joined that literally crazy fandom. And... yeah, I did too. The only episode I actually saw was The Girl in the Fireplace. And another one with 11 that we saw on TV awhile ago.

So now Saige is settling in with Jess, hoping that Thessa will come soon {Thessa is the H4H Girl Tipi}.

And, hooray! Lauryce's name has been changed! She is now Kimberlie Lauryce Palmer. Though Palmer is a temporary last name, Kimberlie is going to be Isabelle's little sister.
Another note is that a Madame Alexander doll that I've been trying to find a place for finally has one. Her name at first was Haley, than Minerva {Min} and then Eva. And now, she is Olivia {Livvy} Haley Palmer. She has nut-brown hair, and I am so getting her a new wig. She totally needs a new one. Her current stupid wig glue is peeling off. Blasted stuff. So she will get a blonde wig. Like 'Belle's.

So that's what I'm thankful for. At least doll-wise.

What are you thankful for?

A Study in Saige // Meet Saige Photoshoot

Saige was a gift from my grandmother, who gave me Josefina two Christmases ago.

Miss Saige Thyme Copeland is very artsy, and yes, she does need glasses.

When taking doll pictures, natural lighting is always best.

I really do recommend her. Her curls are very fun.

The only thing that gets me is that she looks rather similar to MAG #23 {I think}.

Saige is very sweet and kind, but a lot like me in the sense that she's very spontaneous.

She gets an idea and goes off with it in two seconds.

She gets very hurt when someone doesn't like her work, or doesn't understand art {i.e. Emilie}.

She loves it that she looks remarkably similar to Tauriel from the Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug {the Stupendous}.

Well, I hope you like my new Saige. I certainly do.

Postscript // Please, if you want to use a photo, let me know. I would be very glad to watermark it for you, but I can't always watermark my photos because it would take too long. That's why I ask that you ask.

Meet Emilie and Molly

Yay! I've finally gotten around to post these photos.

So yes, D and I bought a new camera. A Canon T3 Rebel. If you want good photos, get that camera.

Meet Miss Emilia Watson Bennett, granddaughter of Dr. John Watson, better known as Emilie.

Meet Miss Mollyanna McIntire, better known as Molly.

They are best friends, living in 221b Baker Street in Pleasanton.

Emilie is a deductive genius, much like her grandfather's friend Sherlock Holmes. Her English accent is adored by the residents of her new home. She enjoys breaking from her time period {the '40s} to watch some BBC Sherlock {on Clearplay of course!}. She is an only child, and though not out and out selfish, she's not used to caring and interacting with people.

Molly is Watson to Emilie's Sherlock. She is cheerful and pokes and prods her friend to become better and kinder. She always wears her silver locket around her neck, where it will remind her of home. She's also a great tap dancer, and competes with Marisol for fun. She is fun loving and forgiving.

Though technically from the forties, Emilie looks gorgeous dressed in Kit and Ruthie's dresses.

I promise I'll post more photos of them later.

Postscript: If you would like to use any of these photos, just let me know and I will watermark them for you!

New Camera + New Dolls + Camera is not here yet = Frustrated Blogger {Yours Truly}

Hello again!

It's little young me here, in my little corner of the world.

As I type this, I am impatiently waiting for the UPS man to deliver my and D's new camera.

New dolls, you ask? Of course, you'll have to wait until I actually get my hands on that camera to snap some shots of them.

Which unfortunately may be longer than any of us want.

I could be watching Sherlock now {on Clearplay, of course!} but D decided to get her hair cut while Mom was getting her's done, so I'm stuck.

I also could be playing with my new dolls {yes, I do play with them, and I'm in my mid-teens!} but I thought that I'd blog {actually, I needed to post Friends and Enemies on the Call, so I needed to get on here anyway}.

Who are my new dolls, may you ask? Well, you'll just have to wait {or you could cheat and look on one of my other doll blogs}.

So I'll be logging off now. Cheerio and all that.

{Note: my image. If you would like to use it for anything, just comment and let me know, and I will watermark it for you!}

A Quick Heart to Heart

Q: A quick heart to heart? Why would you name your post something as cliche as that?

A: Because that's what I'm doing.

I am a photographer. I get very picky with the photos I showcase. I get very picky with other people's photography because it seems unfair to me that some people get dolls for free and sometimes before they're released, and they can't even comb the doll's hair. Or take the picture in good lighting. And they're mommy bloggers who do this for a living. Arg.

 {These are my photos of Zoe Elise}
But I have to say that dolls are not my life.
God is my life. No matter how much I love dolls, I love Jesus more.
Honestly, I like other things besides dolls.
I'm a Middle-earthian, Sherlockian {on Clearplay!}, writeress, pinner, blogger, reader, piano player, etc.

I also might talk about my convictions about somethings that people bring up when talking about certain dolls{i.e. Julie or Shola}. It might get a bit controversial.
Now, I don't always take the best photos. I can't always be witty and cool in my writing.
But I don't want to just post for the sake of posting {especially spelling words wrong, I hate that}.
I want to post lovely pictures and inspiring words.
Not flaky misspelled posts.
I won't be able to post every day, but I will try to make the posts that I do post worthwhile.

And that is my heart to heart.

End of Summer Update

Hello there, my fellow doll lovers!

Okay, let me cut to the chase.

I never actually did anything with the "Camp Doll Diaries" thing. I was intending to, but got sidetracked, i.e., we painted our house. Actually, let me correct that, we ARE STILL painting our house. Arg.

But I haven't gotten any new dolls. Yet. Emilie and Molly {and Saige} should be joining the Fellowship by the end of the year.

I have gotten a couple of new outfits.

Well, at least one. Saige's Sweater Outfit. And yeah, I want the one for girls. I tried it on. It's slightly small-ish, the arms are a bit short, but hey, it's cute.

I saw some of Saige's movie. And honestly, I didn't like it. The actress's "concerned" expression got on my nerves, like Chrissa's did in "Chrissa stands Strong". Shudder. And the acting was kind of middle-good.

But I want a Caroline movie. I mean, you learn tons about history!

But anyway....

I have a really cool secret-agent photo-story soon-to-be-set to go on the Spy-ness of Dollduction.

I really would like to do a "Mix-n-Match Monday" type thing. Because tons of people do not seem to know how to mix and match. And I will help them. Nuff said.

{This is an old shot I took of Josefina for AGC}

Big Surprize // Revealed // Mosi // and Lauryce!

I know you've all been waiting with baited breath {okay, maybe not ;)} so I'll hurry and finish my story.

I headed down to the toy aisle, dodged some loud children and hurried to the Our Generation/H4H aisle. There was a little girl fiddling with some OG stuff, so I waited for a minute until her dad scooped her up and hurried her away.

Then I saw them. TWO Mosi's. TWO Sholas. And ONE Lauryce! I literally did a happy dance in the toy aisle. Of course, that meant I'd have to choose between Lauryce and Mosi.

It took me about thirty seconds to decide that I was not going to get this opportunity anytime soon. Unfortunately I was broke. I'd used a gift card I'd been saving for Shola, but I only had one more gift card I'd been intending for Mosi. Big Uh-oh. The last measly ten dollars I'd had had gone to D to pay her for something she'd gotten for me earlier in the year. And Molly and Emily were retiring! Could I spend and extra $25 for Lauryce?

My mind made up, I loaded my arms with Mosi and Lauryce and found my dad in the DVD aisle.

"I want both of them. Can I pay you back eventually for Lauryce?" I asked.

"Sure," was the answer. Trying not to think about being an indentured servant, I followed my dad to the checkout aisle still carrying both dolls. I probably looked pretty silly. He payed for them, and the price was pretty hefty. I continued to try not to think about it.

After checking out Hobby Lobby to gape at their new doll-sized trunks, which also cost a bit {though with fifty percent of it wasn't bad} we headed home.

Skipping to the end, my awesome dad agreed to just let me pay for Mosi and so Lauryce is basically a present. I was so happy! Thanks so much Daddy!

Mosi's box!

 Inside of her box.

Laryce's box!

Inside of Lauryce's box!

Mosi! I was kinda disappointed by her innocent eyebrows, but such is life.

And yes, her feather is fake. It's plastic.

Her earrings are some kind of Indian bird?

Bracelet same as Lauryce's.

Boots are cute, but next to impossible to get on.

My new girls' hair.

Shola/Hadassah's is much longer than Mosi's.

Ack! Lauryce has stolen my heart!

What I think of Mosi: She's very cute! Her hair is kind of like Nahji's, but it's almost curly. Her eyebrows give her an innocent and almost sad puppy-dog eyes look. Her boots are next to impossible to get on. Her dress in very sweet and her leggings are very cute.

What I think of Lauryce: I love her to bits! Her coloring is so adorable, and her hair is like spun gold. Her dress is a little bit on the short side, but Nahji's leggings go with it fine. Her headband thing is pretty cute too.

All my H4H girls!
